Dear Principal,

Schools for a Sustainable Future would like to invite you to send teacher, student and /or parent representatives to our Annual Presentation Day on Friday 26th October 2000 at Mt Waverley Community Centre.

Our Annual Presentation Day is a special event because it focuses on the teachers, students, parents and sponsors responsible for making environmental action happen in our schools. It is also an outstanding opportunity to learn about effective, exciting projects and creative ways of putting them into practice.

Highlights of this years event will include:

• Cobden Technical school which has won Waste Wise Awards, Energy Smart awards and has integrated its approach to sustainability throughout the school program. Presenter Sue Style and students will be a must see event for secondary schools keen to improve their environment programs.
• Ina Keulich from Mt Waverley Nth PS will highlight an approach to the environment which covers grounds development through the Hands on Learnscapes program and integration into the Science and SOSE curriculum.
• Peter Preuss and Guy Pritchard from the Shire of Yarra ranges will highlight the practical results of their Shires commitment to making sustainability a priority in the planning and development of their community. It can be done!

The day will also feature awards to schools which have participated in the SFSF Community EcoNewsletter project and as always there will be school displays and presentations.
