W.H.E.N.
(And How?... And What?)

The Worldwide Home Environ-mentalists Network will be contributing a 'Handy Home Hints' column in future editions of Synergy.  Here's the lowdown on the organisation whose name poses the ultimate question:  WHEN?

WHEN is a non profit environmental group which focuses on environmental issues in the home.  We feel that positive role modeling by parents is one of the most influential sources of environmental education that children can understand and absorb.

We produce a regular newsletter which includes practical tips and hints for reducing waste, lifestyle issues, networking news, as well as information on our current campaign to Ban the Free Bag.

Since our formation seven years ago, we have given many talks to community groups and conferences, set up displays, written submissions, gained media attention on waste related issues and lobbied retailers on packaging and green cleaning matters.

In 1997 we established our own home page on the internet.  It contains the accumulated knowledge of our many years of practical experience, providing excellent advice on all aspects of good environmental practice in the home.
